“Hi, I’m Vicky. I was a postgraduate psychology student at the University of Bolton, at the moment I am applying to study my PhD. My research has primarily focused on Autism, looking into specific topics such as gender, diagnosis and puberty. As part of my PhD application I am currently writing a research proposal looking at the current Autism Screening Tools, something I am incredibly passionate about as I have a late-diagnosis of Autism. Prior to my Autism diagnosis I received both a diagnosis of Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. I think being Autistic has provided me with a sense of focus and determination and a personal insight into my own research.”
